School – Week 1 in review

I hope everyone had a great first week back at school.

On Wednesday I had 24 new faces staring at me and I was excited!  I did have a few newbies with teary eyes but they were all dried up and gone by 9.00am.

Everyone loved my room and all the ‘experienced’ parents whose child was in the same classroom last year commented on how open and fresh it looked! (I was a tad nervous that they wouldn’t approve of the new layout so that was a relief!)

I kept them all busy by taking their photo (totally stole the idea from pinterest!).

We had a walking tour of the school.

We played outside and inside and spent time using the interactive whiteboard.

We also read lots stories with some to do with starting school.

And as expected – it took us close to 1/2 hour to pack our school bags at the end of the day!

Oh and I only had 1 pair of shoes left at school on Friday (don’t ask me how that can even happen!).
